Timothy and Jennifer Carroll

Tim and Jennifer Carroll first joined Africa Inland Mission in 1984 to work with Missionary Kids at the Rift Valley Academy, Kijabe, Kenya.

In 1993, they moved to Nairobi to facilitate the placement and care of short-term missionaries. In 2000 Tim transitioned to a full-time pastoral care and counseling role for AIM missionaries, and in June 2009 was seconded to the Mobile Member Care Team to facilitate the formation of a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary team to provide member care training, consulting, coaching, debriefing, counseling and crisis response for cross-cultural Christian workers in the greater East Africa region.

Jennifer’s focus has been on ministry outreach through childbirth education and maternal-newborn health programs.

Since returning to the USA in May 2010 to care for aging parents, Tim continues to be actively involved in missionary member care and Jen continues to be involved in outreach through maternal-newborn health education and support. Tim has completed his M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is working toward full licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

He continues to be involved in providing training, consulting, debriefing, counseling, crisis care and member care support. Jennifer continues to be actively involved in international ministry through childbirth education and maternal-newborn health programs training childbirth educators, labor support specialists, lactation educators, breastfeeding counselors and bereavement support counselors for perinatal loss.

The Carrolls have three married adult daughters and six grandchildren.
