Michelle Gennaro

Chris and Michelle Gennaro were appointed as missionaries with Africa Inland Mission in 2007 and left in July, 2011 with their six children (Julia, Olivia, Jedidiah, Sicilia, Joseph, and Duane) to serve in the tiny, rural village of Molumong, Lesotho.

After a year of culture and language acquisition, Chris taught sewing and knitting to local people at the Molumong Vocational Skills Training Center where he passed on his brilliant skill to them and showed them that God IS a provider to them and that they CAN rise above their poverty with His help.  Michelle also learned language and homeschooled.

In February, 2013, after the sudden onset of Encephalitis, Chris passed away and we are SURE he received his, "Well done, good and faithful servant" from the Lord.

Following that, Michelle became the 12th grade English teacher at Rift Valley Academy where Olivia had been a boarding student.

The family is currently based in San Diego where Michelle serves as the Southwest Mobilizer for AIM.

Mobilizing Offices

AIM is a global organization comprised of both sending and receiving entities. Each sending country is home to a Mobilizing Office, and this is the first place of contact for engaging with AIM. Find the Mobilizing Office nearest you to learn more about opportunities to serve or partner with AIM.

Receiving Regions

AIM works in more than 20 African countries, including some islands of the Indian Ocean, and in other countries around the globe where ethnic Africans have settled. Our work is divided into five regions: Eastern, Central, Southern, Northern, and Diaspora Ministries.
