I've been working with Africa Inland Mission since the fall of 2010 on a church-planting team among the Alagwa people of North-central Tanzania. I got involved with this team because I felt a deep burden for the unreached who have no access to Jesus. The Alagwa are a people group of 45,000, the majority of whom have never once heard the name of Jesus, and they have no Scripture in their language. Our team has been focused on learning the Alagwa's language (Alagwaisa) and culture, building strong relationships, sharing life with our neighbors, developing a Chronological Bible Storying Set in Alagwaisa, discipling seekers, and being involved in ministries of agriculture and education. Recently, we have begun a translation of the book of Luke into Alagwaisa.
