Shara Tanner

I grew up in East Africa to missionary parents and was surrounded by stories and testimonies of God's faithfulness in reaching the unreached peoples of Africa. From an early age, I knew I wanted to be a part of this story of God's love for the nations. I graduated from college with an elementary teaching degree and joined a training in ministry outreach (TIMO) team in central Tanzania. Through TIMO, I received many opportunities to explore cross cultural ministries, build relationships with neighbors and develop skills in language learning and gospel sharing. Through this time, God laid on my heart the need for orienting and training for new missionaries to the field to help sustainability and effectiveness in missions for the sake of the Gospel. I am excited to be a part of AIM's vision in reaching the unreached through mentoring and receiving missionaries through the Kilwa Inbound team in coastal Tanzania.
