Andre, Jordan and Kristin - Repatriation Project

Living in this time of the novel coronavirus Covid-19 is challenging for us all. We’ve all had to adapt and change in so many ways and without much notice. Our lives in Kenya look drastically different today than they did just a few weeks ago. Our hope and prayer is that the general sense of calm that exists here would remain no matter what, but the truth is Kenya has less than 250 ICU beds for a population of 50 million. If Kenya experiences an outbreak like Italy or Spain (countries with similar population numbers to Kenya), it will be beyond devastating.

Kenya’s borders were closed a few weeks ago with just a few days notice. And at that time, even if we had wanted to get on a plane out of here, we couldn’t - simply because every flight was sold out. The only way out now is a repatriation flight organized by the US Government. However, those flights come at a very high price - likely more than $2000 per ticket, and we need five tickets. So this fund is set up to help with that exorbitant cost.

Thankfully our work with On Field Media can continue from the United States for the time-being. We have a backlog of footage that needs to be edited and sent out for distribution. So the work will continue no matter where we find ourselves.

Thank you for your love and support of us during this incredibly difficult and unprecedented time.

Mobilizing Offices

AIM is a global organization comprised of both sending and receiving entities. Each sending country is home to a Mobilizing Office, and this is the first place of contact for engaging with AIM. Find the Mobilizing Office nearest you to learn more about opportunities to serve or partner with AIM.

Receiving Regions

AIM works in more than 20 African countries, including some islands of the Indian Ocean, and in other countries around the globe where ethnic Africans have settled. Our work is divided into five regions: Eastern, Central, Southern, Northern, and Diaspora Ministries.
