Haspels, John and Johanna - Kenya North Bible Project

Northern Kenya is a vast, scarcely populated area of Kenya beginning just North of the equator and stretching to the Ethiopian border. The people groups that live in this area are largely nomadic and most are still listed as unreached. Within these tribes, there are small churches started, but the numbers of believers are few. These small churches strive to do evangelism and outreach to their own people, but there are huge challenges. The distances are vast. The traditional beliefs are strong, and even though each of the people groups have at least the New Testament in their own language, most of the populations are illiterate. This project is set up to help the local evangelist in Northern Kenya with Bibles, Audio Bibles, fuel cost, and other things that they may need to reach their own people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One audio bible (about $40) allows the Word of God to be heard in village after village as the people move. Helping with fuel costs ($10 = about 60 miles) allow local evangelists to follow up on the hearing of the Word. In this way, we can participate in the spread of the Gospel in Northern Kenya.
